The whole thing is pretty unclear though as we are considering putting a red dot on Insas, but nobody is sure as to whether this rifle will be retained or phased out soon.DRDO claims to be in the process of developing two rifles for the project but no detailed info is out yet except a few vague...

Looking at the PLA it is commendable how the Chinese have come up with a world class weapon in QBZ-95,,thus even our own weapon developers need a chance to upgrade the INSAS or bring about a replacement to the INSAS as self dependency in terms of arms is always sought by any country.

I came across somewhere that the G36 was facing reliability problems in the extreme weather conditions in Afghanistan. That is why the German army was ready to move over to HK416.Also i think that it is not a good idea to induct the G36 in the IA now as the G36 is good but much better options are...

What about the MSMC that was being developed at the ARDE,,,shall it ever be put to use ,,,,or is it always going to be in the state of development..... That weapon looks nice enough may be its high time to replace the ancient 9mm British steyns which are in service with the much modern MSMC.

Right said friend only if the babus can find some tym from filling their pockets,,they can concentrate on building a good weapon out of it,,, I really feel for the infantry ,,,that even after being provided with fairly ancient weaponary they risk their lives just for the sake of their motherland.
