Thank God IN didn't write it.

NO. The one reason why IN has not shown interest in NLCA is this among others. Watch the latest episode of Tarmak with Cdr Maolankar.

Ni-Cd battery in all possibility. NP-1 too have it, but due to position of rear pilot, it is not visible like this.

Ok... Yes, that part or the hump you are talking of could house sensors and electronics for sure. But LCA overall would not have that structure. Maybe we could se it in later versions but not in current ones. As far as testing of this model for drag coefficient is concerned, we have the test...

You replied you question yourself. If you look at the radome of both LCA and NLCA, you would notice the reason for the same. Radome of NLCA has been dropped with respect to that of LCA. Because of this structural change, the hump got created. This idea has been derived from the trainer version...

First of all, MINDSET. During the harrier period, we haven't tasted twin engine fighters. So we operated what is there on table. Once the twin engine came, we came across the idea of operating one and look at the pros and cons. Second, the Sea Harrier was a STOVL. So even if it was a single...

Its not about reliability, its about survival chances. A twin engine fighter operating from a deck is much safer to operate in high seas then a single engine one. In case of engine failure, a single engine plane trying to land on deck is no where less then a missile approaching the carrier.

Yes..... Their biggest concern is the single engine. Up to an extent their concerns are well placed.

Not just weight. There are multiple concerns.

As far as your shenanigans is concerned, I have only this to say, And thank god S.Jha is not stupid as some people here. He had not mentioned ONLY TAKE-OFF anywhere. But we have people here who make up imaginary scenario out of things and add one or two words from their side.

You are really a unique piece. You are so good at creating some imaginary scenarios from one point or other. Look carefully at what is written here. https://defenceupdate.in/back-from-dead-navys-tejas-fighter-preps-for-tests-on-aircraft-carrier/ As for this part, I too agree. So I am not...

And who is saying that the Flight tests from Vikramaditya is going to happen tomorrow? It has been scheduled for 2019 ending. And I don't believe ADA to be filled up with people who would plan to load NLCA once AC is in dock and then test one take off per month. Moreover the video is against...

Okkk. Then you might have missed some more tweets from the same source. So now you see why I said that NLCA has already undergone landing tests. So how could you be so sure that its only Take-Off tests and not landings? S.Jha in one tweet mentioned it as take-off tests and in another...

Oh.. I might have missed the tweet. Could you please show me that one? BTW I am talking on basis of this tweet.

NLCA already undertook multiple arrested recovery tests and simulated landings at INS Hansa. Saurav Jha mentioned it as He is simply talking about carrier trials. Not specifically of Take-Off trials.
  18. C

    Naval LCA Tejas

No where it is mentioned as just a Take-Off trial or landing trial. It means this trials include both. So either way it could be done during the active patrolling of Vikramaditya IMO.

Apart from fuselage, the wings to seem to have undergone monumental change to assist lift off. The real challenge would be to strengthen under carriage to assist arrested recovery without compromising on the overall weight.

If we have to quote Adm Lanba in recent interview, here is something more. http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/great-progress-made-in-coastal-security-post-26-11-terror-attack-says-navy-chief/story-EKRxuE44kyBLJgYDk39itN.html So as per this statement, he too said what we are already...
