    And that exactly will never be the case, since we are fighting 2 nuclear powers. Gaining air superiority alone won't be possible anymore, let alone taking out ground defences, because way before that happens, the nuclear threat comes into play.

    That money would be better spend by actual combat fighters or armed drones. Trainers are too vulnerable to any kind of attack from the ground, which is why they only can be used against low capable enemies like IS or Taliban.
