Guy... Ukraine makes boosters, not complex rocket components or upper stages. It is not partners with anyone but Russia in space since it has no money. Vega and Taurus have nothing to do with Ukraine except where the booster was made just like most Russian rockets. With Angara coming soon...

Come on guy, get real. Ukraine's defence budget is $1.4 billion and been underfunded forever by 25% of the pathetic goal the Duma sets. The Army went from 2007 until 2011 without a single exercise. VVS pilots only fly 20hrs. Very little equipment has been renovated and practically nothing...

We don't use Ukrainian engines in Ariane 5. That doesn't have much to do with Ukraine's broke military. What does is that only 31 combat aircraft out of 112 can fly. That the navy is rusting away and that the Army doesn't have money to train.

Ukrainian military is so broke they can't afford to feed soldiers on peacekeeping missions much less new trucks.
