As I thought from the recent pics, AK203mki is being shipped with foregrip as standard issue from factory itself. Am pretty sure holographic is really not a standard issue. Anyway a 3x optic should be mandatory as well to make use of the AK 7.62 rifle to its fullest. Won't talk about torch and...

It looks functionally good but only if they chose a adjustable buttstock as well, a much needed necessity when using body armours. Russians seems to be using this for their new production rifles, guess they found it better than M4 style buttstock.

Never knew such optics were being designed developed and made in India. I thought only Tonbo was there but they specialise in thermal related optics and smart optics.

Interestingly Astr defense also got award by IAF for hard kill counter UAS system posted on twitter, I thought they were only a firearms manufacturing company.

I bet at some point of time in near future chinese will be adopting something like the new US fire control sight at like one tenth the price. What about the effective range then, that FCS sight is damn scary in garand thumb video, sure shot at each trigger pull.

Does anyone know if that bayonet charge thingy shown in almost every indian army video where guys run up to some foxhole covered by camo net and do the bayonet stab acting, is it what our infantry supposed to do in this day and age? I mean what can go wrong🥲. Is that just for public consumption...

I have a strong inkling that adoption of AK will go something like this, rfi refloated again and again for 7.62nato rifle, failure to choose each time and then ultimately AK will sooner or later become the defacto rifle of not only backline troops but also frontline troops. If this happens...

I meant don't forget about STANAG magwell to be added to it to pitch it for exports Though seriously why don't we just use STANAG nato ammo and mags on all our new 5.56 instead of continuing with INSAS ammo

Don't forget about STANAG mag compatibility, there is apic of it with M4 type stock though

How does such absurd requirements even pass the table? I mean does absolute NPC sit there or their pockets are warmed generously.

Somebody tell me, why are we importing close combat optics when we already have indigenious holographic and MRWS sight (basically Desi MOR sight). Why foreign sights for sss defence kits, i guess it's a part of package but huh so much for Desi products.

In small arms area atleast i believe that should be directed wholly towards private sector majorly, atleast the small calibre guns and rocket launchers side apart from the ak 203 deal already signed, ammo can be sourced in mix. This would atleast give incentive and spur growth in small amrs R&D...

So, I was thinking if we were already producing pkt for so long then why we didn't ever think of making a pkm clone, would have been a good gun, sf guys seem to like it. And for God sake either standardise on 7.62 Russian or the nato round, make your mind IA. Which big brained person thought...

Here's a good template for accessories which should be standard issue to our soldiers in future, atleast after a decade 🙄, i hope a reflex sight, foregrip and laser/flashlight module is not much asking after a decade in 2030s, not asking for scope, as our guys don't seem to place it correctly...

Sorry Ambani and reliance was on mind but it got turned to adani🥲, now 'Ambani adani' phrase goes like bread and butter after the number of times I have heard it in social media , I meant to say Reliance and by tata I mean it's the company which makes parts for aircrafts for global giants and...

I am scared to find out the amount of corruption we have in our defence establishments. Who knows we might find a whole big hydra there. Why hate khangress, deal made under bjp and by army jernails. The lack of brain among procurements by army just points to one direction and that is corruption...

As I said, should be wholly indian made or atleast major parts like barrel, trigger group and other major parts should be indian atleast. A lit bit could be sourced from outside like outer polymer, magzines with the guarantee that all would be indigenized in meantime, doesn't really makes sense...

Does that really matters? Itni firearms ki kami Mai doobte ko kuch bhi chalega. I think a quality firearm whether copied or not and passes reliability criteria is all that matters. As long as it is made completely in india and ip is owned by the Indian company, design could be of a foreign designer.
