Threatening is one thing, but carrying out the threat is much more complicated. See Russia-Ukraine war.
Russians have same security that we have vis a vis our neighbors. Bangladesh and Pakistan are mujeets and de facto will be hostile to India.
Time we build our Surovikin type of lines with these neighbours, mine the bloody border. Instead of giving them discounted prices, save that money to build fortress India.

Both them & China already know... 5-7 Chinese vessels stationed here will be obliterated in case of any conflict. China won't place anything here in case of hostilities.

And surveillance of Indian Navy they can do with or without the Bangladeshi base anyways.
