China fought for Aksai Chin. Most of it should be kept by China.
Not kept, only way India will ever get it back is by fighting for it. That’s what most Indians don’t understand, they also don’t understand that their 2000s tier army wont get the job done

Aksai Chin is like 2 km higher in elevation than Ladakh.
I thought you were talking about the entire border.

Anyway you should not be comparing the average elevation of entire area. What should be compared is the elevation at the line of actual control

And this is perhaps yet more proof that our security establishment is STILL high on their own sh!t . They still believe in deterrence thru denial instead of building up capacities which will definitely not match the Chinese but will give them food for thought.

Right now our strategy remains that of a thali with a little bit of this & a little bit of that in extremely limited quantities viz 200 Pralays as of now with no news of any further inductions & no Shauryas which instead has been transferred to SFC instead of retaining them with the newly raised Rocket Force inducting them in substantial numbers or the 36 nos Rafale which our security establishment believes is enough along with a policy focussed on denial to deter the Chinese.

God help us!! The signs are ominous. If Modi gets this one wrong he'd be as reviled as Chacha is today by future generations.
i think this is better option, than waiting for our capacity building. that will be happen parallely, with engagement with chinese enemies. i dont think if we engage with taiwan indirectly, chinese can do anything directly to us. they r already doing indirect action (like pakistan help, communist, naxals nd north east sepratist help) against us. so why we r fearing even supporting (vocally atleast) taiwan, mongolia, Phillipines, vietnam etc. its better if our enemy think, we r engaging with their enemies. instead of fighting alone. chinese wants no country involve in taiwan. they even openly claim ours ladhakh, sikkim nd arunachal pradesh. its time we should also openly support aksai chin, tibbet nd taiwan. we should atleast involve in indirect war, which chinese r doing against us since 1960. this is best time to help USA to weak chinese nd let them trap on south china sea, by involving with Phillipines, Vietnam, south korea, australia nd japan.

PM Modi shouldn't hv met with Xi jing, until LAC is settled.

Its bizarre Indian Foreign ministry playing with words like "informal meeting"..... "bilateral meeting."

It's just awkward to invite the person responsible for the death of so many of your soldiers in border, that your country men mournded for months.

Then have Chai Biscuit photo Ops with him as if nothing has happened. Obviously you can't invite a guest & completely ignore him the whole time.

It is actually a blessing in disguise. Putin has to deal with the war as he informed our PM. With China, it is a different situation. As Gokul pointed out, Xi indeed has developed an emperor mindset, especially after the mud-rolling that Olaf, Macron and Ursula did in front of him.

I see Xi and Putin's absence as a golden opportunity to:

  1. Stick to the agenda - advocate for development, food & energy security for the Global South; it burnishes our image as a stakeholder of the developing world
  2. Prevent dragging the ongoing war into the discussion - no China and Russia means no discussion on the war and derailing
Li Qeqiang is representing China and Sergey Lavrov is representing Russia. It might be easier for Dr. Jaishankar to negotiate a collective joint statement from them. While Lavrov might be open to giving some concessions, Li might not be that open, given that he has no say in anything that he represents.

This G20 has been consistently marred by the problems created by the Chinese. We need to make it really difficult for them in the other forums, except BRICS. MEA should understand that BRICS needs more initiative from Indian side and avoid ruffling feathers there as it damages our image with the other members and the Westoids have a field day smearing us.

My view is that the IBSA (soon to be BBSA after our original name is restored) should be expanded in parallel as a more functional BRICS Lite version. The aim is not to induct members there but to start grassroots level cooperation between us, Brazil and South Africa with clear, tangible outcomes.
  1. Joint vaccine, biotech and anti-pandemic research cooperation at all levels
  2. Sharing of IP on life-saving critical drugs made in any of the 3 countries with each other
  3. Joint military equipment production - Brazil and SA have different goals, but they know where the export money lies.
  4. More grassroots infrastructure investments in schools, skilled labor institutions, governance transparency, etc.
  5. Creation of a BRICS bank-style financing institution for private small and medium businesses operating in the 3 countries
  6. Focus on developing roadways, railways, airports, etc., in other regional countries with financing secured from the BRICS bank (jointly)
  7. Promoting Real-Rupee-Rand transactions
I feel that without Chinese pressure, Brazilians and SA would be able to breathe easier in getting things done rather than spending 80% of their energy in dialing down Chinese political belligerence towards West or demanding obeisance.

China again issued stabled-visa to India's Arunachal sportsperons. They're unable to attend Asian games.

India really need to retaliate by issuing stabled-visa to people from Xinjiang region(near Akasi chin).
