Vietnam is still reeciving big manufacturing FDI on the daily basis, the factories tend to be large (>30000sqm) as well.


See this lego factory for example. Over $1 billion investment and it is entirely going for exports. Another denmark company recently broke ground on US$160 million jewellery manufacturing unit. Guess who will be increasingly importing these products? Our indian middle class

I do not see any indian state/CG body that is scouting and trying to attract foreign investors. It was mainly japanese ones that were coming but even they have slowed down investment outside of those catering for the domestic market like Honda and Suzuki.

You can tell from the roof itself how dirty and old the factory was. The factory was built by Indo Alusys Aluminium in the 1980s and they clearly did 0 refurbishment over the decades.

That growth is on a low base; Vietnam's overall exports declined by 4.4% last year. Also some price fluctuations are there (another base effect because prices dropped in the last fiscal) which will inflate our 2024-25 numbers in a similar fashion.
