99.9%, it is them, as the post is situated in what's referred to as a buffer zone near a canal. The upper canal is where the Kuki-ZO resides, and the attack originated solely from that direction, as only the Kuki are capable of attacking from the upper side. Despite this, the Kuki-Zo's well-established propaganda machine is actively blaming militant groups based in the valley, which is nonsensical considering the post is located in a Meitei area and CRPFserves as a neutral force. I am completely certain that the attack targeted the post, assuming it belonged to the IRB (Meitei), only realizing afterward that it was the CRPF they had inflicted harm upon, thus shifting the blame onto us.

This conflict is mostly related to Drugs.

Direction of the Manipur High Court for inclusion of Meiteis in the ST List along with the drive of the Manipur govt to clear the illegal occupation by Kuki-Zo out of the Reserve Forests (RF) and the Protected Forests (PF) was the trigger of this conflict.

Kukis wants control over the hills for Poppy cultivation.

And Myanmar pushing Yaba Meth tablets into India from the borders.

I would like to provide another clear picture here.

I agree its drugs, but there are lot of inner conflicts:

1. The state govt. and their politics.
2. The central govt. and their politics.
3. There is clear Chinese and Myanmar intervention, the arms supply is not passive, but active.
4. The Burmese are also into it.
5. The Bangladeshis are also commanding refugee crisis.

The most important bit over here is that a refugee crisis is created deliberately, so that intelligence at the ground level and army at operations level to have no clue what to do.

TL;DR basically it's a mess, and unfortunately our intelligence here is not that of a level as that of J&K.
