I agree with you bro. There are many individuals like you who can do what is currently under development or even it is next generation. I have also invented many solutions in minutes. One of them is for next generation ammunition. But I am a normal citizen, can't approach high level organisations like DRDO because, I am only a citizen.

Take it from me who's spend years in same boots as you, don't bother...

from my childhood where I got a chance to visit some exhibition of terrorist weapons to my reading on the matter and everything upto now after getting internet, I've met with nothing but disappointments regarding domestic small arms scenario - and when I look back at myself and ponder over it a deep realization sits through me concluding it all as 'not worth it'

Now all it needs is a decent optics on it .
You are talking about the mighty Indian army. Who cares about identifying targets quickly and at longer distances. They are satisfied with irons and you cannot teach old dogs new tricks!

What about 4X scope?
What's the need for a 4x scope? Most frontline troops and those deployed in the valley will be using the Sigs. I'd be glad if they're equipped with a holographic or red dot at the very least instead of stupidly using the iron sights

Guns are generally made from either steel or aluminum... not the whole but the slide / exterior is . These outer metal needs protection to prevent corrosion and also to look more refined . The color will depend upon what method you employ for this .

In case of guns made from steel like 1911 and Desert eagle (which is a all steel gun ) you can protect it by either chrome plating it which will lead to a shiny silvery finish or sear coat which can lead to any color (its your choice as its like dry paint ) .

In case of guns made of Aluminum you can anodize it which gives a black color or sear coat it .

So we will have a assault rifle and a lmg firing different caliber rounds?
Atleast insas ar and insas lmg fired same boolets ( bullets)

Most militaries have their LMG and main rifle firing different rounds.
Those who try to have the same round are usually quite dissatisfied, and end up having either a suboptimal machine gun or a suboptimal main assault rifle.

IMO 7.62x1 lmg and 7.62x 39 rifle is fine, as long as they dont issue sigs/insas in same platoon also

I believe the best name for it is IRRPL AK-103MKI😂.
TBH it has all of the actual good things from AK-203(Russian one) and has removed all the deficiencies.... Could be better, but those improvements are not yet implemented by the people we are licencing from.

It looks functionally good but only if they chose a adjustable buttstock as well, a much needed necessity when using body armours.

Russians seems to be using this for their new production rifles, guess they found it better than M4 style buttstock.

I havent seen reviews of this style of stock, but their M4 type has quite poor reviews because its very hard to use a sling with that as it interferes with trigger.

That was the one offered for AK203 ig and if so it was better to just use the older style stock. If proper collapsible stock is there, yes, it would be better.

Note, the front handguard on this is worse than ours, as it is all plastic (hence flexible, hence cant mount lasers etc) unlike ours which has top rail of metal.

Decent gun in 7.62x39, and IMO the best gun in 7.62x39 currently fielded as a primary arm in any army.

Now if it was the right caliber is a separate discussion.

I personally feel the Arsenal AR-M5F41 used by the CAPFs was a better choice for us. The only major issue was displeasing the Russians. We already have the tooling to make machined AKs “inspired” by Arsenal, aka the Trichy Assault Rifle (TAR).
