Professor Roger Lui: 'The BJP, which Narendra Modi belongs to, has a political agenda focusing on development from the inside.'
Please do not go off topic.Incidentally, observe how none, or just about none( conceding an oversight here and there!)of the attacks on Modi and the BJP, come from Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia...? It all originates from a handful of Western countries. And it the same script over and over again. Rinse, repeat.
I'll watch that. I just had to get that in.Please do not go off topic.
Regards.
Western hate knows no bounds when it comes to Hinduism but the threat from China is much more than that. So they will encourage its companies to establish some part of supply chain to India but want their minions in power so that they can control them.Professor Roger Lui: 'The BJP, which Narendra Modi belongs to, has a political agenda focusing on development from the inside.'
What, but aren't the BJP and Modi focused on Hindu nationalism, authoritarianism and Hindu supremacy? Aren't they indifferent to development?
A bit late to say the above……..only a few weeks back, the Taiwanese Foreign Minister was more negative about India saying that it does not have infrastructure and trained manpower to man the semi-conductors, FABs and other related industry.
Their business class is not interested altogether and the mantri was making exusesTaiwanese Foreign Minister
Wait and watch….. the Taiwanese Foreign Minister is making excuses. They want something big before they signal their big companies to set up shop in India. Money is not the issue but political recognition is up in their mind. ….Their business class is not interested altogether and the mantri was making exuses
OR
They want more subsidies and other GoI GibsMeDats to establish a name-brand factory like one of TSMC's here
They can't come running to India once China invades them . It's game over basically.Wait and watch….. the Taiwanese Foreign Minister is making excuses. They want something big before they signal their big companies to set up shop in India. Money is not the issue but political recognition is up in their mind. ….
They will come running to India if mainland China invades Taiwan.
They want an FTA which is why they're playing hard ball . The issues in it are apart from being one sided like our FTA with ASEAN, there's the China factor involved. Moreover none of Taiwan's traditional allies in the west have signed an FTA with it only a few inconsequential countries have.Their business class is not interested altogether and the mantri was making exuses

Saurav Jha has repeatedly stated that < 14 nm SMCs are off limits as of now. Previously it was restricted to < 28 nm SMC but the Quad meeting 2-3 years ago where policy framing for alternative supply chains to China were finalized saw the US relenting to India's requests .Summary, unless the Taiwan leadership has been bitten by a mad dog in head and @$$ and has got a serious mental stunt, there will be no serious move from Taiwan in favour of Indian industry.
- Semiconductor keeps Taiwan relevant to world. And given how quickly India is looking to absorb commercial semicon tech from wherever it can get, an Indian semiconductor ecosystem with a growing skilled labour-force, is only detrimental/catastrophic to Taiwan's fortunes.
- Taiwan's semicon tech is essentially a US backed blessing. Transfer won't be that easy & desirable to uncle Sam.
- Deeper Indo Taiwan engagement, at level of access to key strategic tech ensures direct Chinese hostility.
doesn't matter. Anyone can spew anything but at end of the day, are we getting any benefits or not materially.A bit late to say the above……..only a few weeks back, the Taiwanese Foreign Minister was more negative about India saying that it does not have infrastructure and trained manpower to man the semi-conductors, FABs and other related industry.
I think they knew the only meaningful potential destination is India because other countries are too expensive and too "Muh Worker Rights" to operate like any European Country or that soon to be fail or loss in making Arizona facility. ASEAN not gonna make it no matter how much they invest because they lack intellectual base. Singapore is too small. Africa and South America are non existent options. Koreans are their competitor. Even if TSMC is somehow able to shift entire in America, it will be filled with Asians and Indians majorly as Whites aren't suited for such work. Even in that case, they will be gobbled up by Intel or Corporate espionage in few years (America is the OG Corporate Espionage IP stealer from Inception). So, in case of any Invasion, those top brass can escape to any country and if they want money making machines, only meaningful location is India because India still somewhat respects IP Rights. There is also another advantage is that our Profitmaxxing companies are too incompetent to copy everything and compete against them. Logically best choice for them is to shift it here and they get to still enjoy profits later which otherwise they will lose everything.Wait and watch….. the Taiwanese Foreign Minister is making excuses. The name brand corps from Taiwan's stable like TSMC are making a beeline to Japan, Europe( Germs-many for now ) and US because of the immense GibsMeDats that are being provided to them.I think they knew the only meaningful potential destination is India because other countries are too expensive and too "Muh Worker Rights" to operate like any European Country or that soon to be fail or loss in making Arizona facility.
