Russian military replaced Ukraine battlefield losses ‘far faster’ than expected, general warns

"[Russia’s military has] grown back to what they were before,” Gen. Christopher Cavoli told senators.
That General said "The severity of this moment cannot be overstated. If we do not continue to support Ukraine, Ukraine could lose,” Cavoli said. Could lose? Ukraine will lose even if that 60 billion aid package is signed into law. He then predictably repeats the same lie/narrative..."And if successful in Ukraine, Russia would likely threaten other Eastern European countries."

Modern combat is all about tactics, planning and perfect execution and we are all seeing actual examples play out right before our eyes.

Today in any war the side which has superior logistics, and can replenish losses on the battlefield faster than the other side is sure to emerge as the victors of the battle.

In a full scale war, the "Quality vs Quantity" Debate goes in favour of Quantity. Sometimes equipment which is advanced may not be prove to be a game changer but rather a liability.

More sophisticated the equipment, the more maintenance intensive it becomes and it will remain more in a repair shop than in the arms of a soldier who is fighting against the invaders.
This is a very nuanced argument that can't be supported by just "quality" or "quantity". How you end up using the equipment is a lot more relevant in that discussion, combined with how the enemy ends up using his equipment

WW2 and Korea War is a great example where only quantity or quality alone does not win the war. There are other factors at play too, which are not discussed if the entire focus of the argument is quality vs quantity

"Ukraine khatre main hain!" comes up without fail every three months when the dollar supply slows down! I am not surprised by such articles or assessments considering the US built, nourished and sustained multi-trillion dollar military-industrial complex post WW2 with the bogeyman called the "communist threat", where as we now know that every level of US policymakers knew US was never under threat from USSR. Also, notice the timing of these articles always prelude statements by Zelensky that unless Europe and US releases a fresh tranch of billions of $$/euros, Ukraine is doomed. No wonder there seems to be so much similarity in Ukraine's establishment and the Paki establishment, both are masters in blackmailing.

The front has been frozen for almost 2 yrs now. If Russia thinks it can kill every Ukrainian and then march towards Kyiv then they have already lost. Similarly, if Ukraine thinks they can retake 20% of their country they have lost to Russia since 2022 then they too are delusional. Expect some sort of a negotiated disengagement after the US elections but before then Ukraine will do one more "hail mary" counteroffensive and will likely end the same way they did in 2023.

Where is the front line frozen? The Russians have less and less military equipment, but the banzai-attacks continue.
Certainly. There is a version that the Russians are training small and fully equipped units somewhere beyond the Ural River and by the beginning of summer they will gather in a big group near Belgorod, but so far the facts are that the Ural River has stopped obeying and Ural trucks and Ural motorcycles are going on the attack.

I think Russia's plan is to at least kill or severely wound every Ukrainian that is willing to fight, or get them to leave the country and never come back. Russia has already caused millions of Ukrainian men to leave, and they've killed most of their best soldiers. Taking Odessa would end this, and I think that is Russia's main goal. The rest of offensives, including the talk about taking Kyiv is just a diversion IMO.

Rare, high-quality footage of drone air battles in Ukraine, filmed with an external camera, has been published. The video shows two attacks by Russian FPV drones on Ukrainian drones. The drone models are unknown, and the location and date of the attacks have not been reported.

Killing off the abled men and boys is a sound strategy because it means less fight in the future.

I like to watch various videos of how the wives of Russian mobilized ask that their husbands be taken away from the front line, but they themselves are not against the war. Just let other Russian soldiers go on suicidal attacks, but not their husbands. Hypocrisy of the hundredth level.

It turns out that it will be a new cruise missile or based on an improved version of the surface-to-surface class. Ground targets are harder to identify than sea targets, but it has already destroyed military targets in Crimea more than once, including several S-400 launchers.
It is longer because the flight is 400 km and the warhead is larger.
But why am I talking about the new missile: Neptune has reached its maximum. This will already be a new complex (with its own launcher and identification radar).
